Sick Kitties

A week of sick children and multiple vet trips. Eli is recovered from his dental cleaning and starting to act like his old self.
Wendell is still recovering from his urinary tract infection.
AND FINALLY THEY HAVE ALL STOPPED YELLING AT EACH OTHER....so life is getting better....my poor babies..

Cat Grass Fever

My in-laws grew us some grass for the children....You can buy a tub of it at Wal-Mart and it takes a couple of days to grow and then you have munchies for kittens....I brought it home today and the boys devoured it. I left home for 15 minutes and counted 10 kitty barfs when I got back...Lucky they were all on the hard kitchen floor so it was wipeable, but still......They did enjoy it and that's what counts.....:) My kids, gotta love em...c

Quincy celebrated his 2nd bday on March 18. He is the baby and the BIGGEST!! He is definitely in his terrible 2's and has been for about 6 months. He makes his brother Wendell's life miserable-

My Happy Thought for the Day

The best thing about my day was coming home to find Eli sitting in the window waiting for me. I checked the mail and saw him sitting there, so I talked to him for a minute. Wendell then promptly jumped up beside him and finally Quincy beside Wendell. All 3 of my boys were sitting in the window waiting for me to come in....It was very sweet....Of course I could never get a pic of it- but they were there.....

Sleep, Yum!!

Well, I got to sleep in my new bed until about 10, when the kids decided they wanted to hang out with us. They got booted and so did I. I slept on the couch and then snuck back into the bed for about 1.5 hours this a.m. Jeff says he will have to get used to it....It is more firm than what we had, but I love it.................

The Bed is Here-----

Yeah, they delivered the bed this morning and we are looking forward to making use of it....Jeff has decided that he will sleep in the bed with Quincy and I can sleep on the couch with Wendell....because Wendell will stay with me, thus not getting into a ruckus with Quincy AND not pee on the bed..... Jeff can sleep with Quincy, because he misses having kittens in bed...Hmmmm, something is just not quite right with that, but maybe I can catch a nap on it tomorrow?? We shall see....

Why Do I Have 4 Cats

Why do I have 4 cats.............this morning I couldn't tell you.............Trying to catch up on some sleep that I missed between the 1-5 a.m hours...........I locked 2 of the cats in the bedroom with me....Apparently 7:30 was too long for Wendell to hold on and he peed all over the bed........Zoom, I am up and off to the laundromat..........................Hoping things go well and I don't have to deal with this again for awhile...............Quincy and Wendell are driving me crazy........Quincy wants to attack Wendell...........or better yet....................sit within 2 feet of him and taunt him forever.....................and Wendell WHINES AND WHINES UNTIL I THINK I WILL GO CRAZY...........................They are in no pain...............and for the most part they aren't attacking each other......................IT'S JUST THE CONSTANT DRONE THAT GETS ON YOUR NERVES..........They are doing nothing wrong...............It's not like I would hit them or anything, even the peeing on the bed was my fault, but the NOISE IS GOING TO SEND ME TO THE LOONEY BIN, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OOPS POST FLOWER ENTRY

Sorry folks, but here is a look at how the kids responded to the flower delivery (which I got while I was at Bath and Body). They went CRAZY! But they were very good, and when they had the chance, all they wanted to do was sniff the bouquet, and that was fine with me....

Cats In Bed

Cold weather is coming quickly, this I know because we have cats in bed.....Multiple cats..........Cats all over the place........Including Katie.........I thoroughly expect her to be a bonafied lap cat before the end of the cold season..........that and a bed hog..........Don't get me wrong---LOVE IT, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! :)

Well, the baby boy has gotten so big, when he tries to sleep on the pillow, he doesn't fit and ends up sliding off and to the edge. He is adorable, though, isn't he??

Well, all is well, the kids have gotten over their big adventure. Quincy came to bed last night and slept soundly. Wendell slept in his usual spot. Katie came out for food after Daddy came home. Eli decided to take another day and slept soundly in his chair all day....He's a lucky dude-

Well, it's hours later and they are all still snoozing away....Still traumatized from their adventure and the meds, no doubt........that and they will pay me back at 2:00a.m. .................

The Wild World of (De)Worming

We have survived our early morning adventure to the vet's office. The children, all 4 of them, went unwillingly, of course, after chasing Quincy all around the house for a good 20 minutes, all were packed and ready to go.... Wendell head banged his kennel and tried to get out. Poor Eli bunked with him and they fought the whole way to the vet. Quincy yowled thruout the journey, though how he had the energy, I don't know.....Katie meowed the whole way there. And me, I just drove like a bat out of hell to get there.

Wendell left packages (you know what I mean) on the scales and then on the counter after he got his shots....I was sooo embarassed.....

We were home before 8:30 at a cost of $116 and all were given their pills for worms. Eli got a shot, Wendell got his exam and all his shots. I think we did pretty well..... I also got a partial free sample bag of Greenie treats for the cats..........Forget that, she left the room and I got 4 more bags. 4 cats, $116, they can spare a few bags of free treats, don't you think???

The children are in hiding now and probably will be for the day...Mom is pooped and the ac is cranked...Life is good....

WE HAVE WORMS AND MOM IS ENJOYING HER XANAX

Yes, it is true...Quincy has worms....the yucky rice like tape worm!!! There have been suspicions, but I actually managed to catch one of the things without squishing it and watched it do it's happy dance on my kleenex. EEEWW!! He has probably had them for awhile, and is supposedly in no pain....The others may or may not have them, but will all have to be treated....Waiting until Monday isn't going to put anyone's life in jeopardy (except for MOM who is having a major panic attack). SOOO, Monday we are making a family trip to the vet for pills and then I get to enjoy the after effects....Another EEEWW!! Once they all have the meds there will be no giving them back and forth and life will go on---- I just feel terrible, and lucky that I finally discovered them....Windows and worming, should be an interesting Monday......

Still Going Green

When I go to the store now, I have to explain the cat hair that covers my bags. They are their favorite toys to play in and with each other. So not to be out done, here are Quincy and Katie and their version of going green. Katie, being the only female, takes control and just sits on the bag so no one else can play.....
