Update

My eyes have new glasses, which I hate. New glasses drive me batty. I can never get them to feel right and it makes life interesting to say the least. The bifocal bump up is nice. I like the extra bang I get with these.

Spent the weekend (a long one) in MN with BFF and Hannah. Spent some money, got some cont ed, cheese, and shoes which are all priorities on a trip up North. I think I've met my cont ed requirement but am going to take the child abuse and adult abuse course to finish it up....

The cats got presents from MN which was nice for them. They like their tent and I found my beautiful black boy cat sleeping quite soundly in a pink cat bed with bows....I do worry about him sometimes....HAHA. It was quite adorable and we just stared at him for a couple of minutes.

The job front--interesting. My manager is on sick leave from B&B so I'm not enjoying it quite as much these days...

Heat Lightning

Once Upon A Crime Books has come through again and are mailing me my personalized, signed copy of Heat Lightning......No, I probably won't make it up there for the John Sandford stop :(, but my book is coming...............And they are shipping it to me!!! Yes, you heard me right- the book store (Gary and Pat) are taking time out of their schedules to send me my book....wrapped tight and secure............This is customer service to the max and much appreciated :)

Heat Lightning Tour

Well, I am very lucky. The new book that I have been waiting for is coming out September 23. The author, my favorite, John Sandford, will be making one and only one stop on this tour and that is at my favorite bookstore Once Upon A Crime in Minneapolis on September 23. My BFF teases me, but I have been checking their site daily, and sure enough, up pops a tour stop. I made a quick call to Once Upon A Crime and they already have me on the list for books, signed, and personalized. How we pay will be dealt with later..........Yeah! These people are amazing. If I was closer, I would be broke stopping at their store whenever possible. They take care of their customers and they remember you!! AMAZING this day and age!! Thank You Gary and Pat!!

I Dream of...

Well, I read a blog where she wrote about dreaming about her cat. It was called "I Dream of Ramona." I'm home from MN and at this point all is well with the children and they are all lovey dovey and happy to have Mom around. Sooooo......what do I dream of, after spending 2 days in 5th grade, but doing reports. Here are the exciting topics- Hepatitis C, and The Variety of Hand Sanitizing Gels and Foams Available. I woke up thinking, HUH?

Fairytale Finds a Friend and the Way Home

Fairytale returned to home this weekend as well. Along the way, she picked up a new friend called Cloud who shared the ride home with her....Now Fairytale will have a unicorn buddy to keep her company!!

Hannah Done Graduated

Well part of the big weekend was the 5th grade graduation ceremony. My god daughter, Hannah, was actually ready to move on to middle school!! It is a very big deal to graduate from Hillcrest. We had the actual ceremony on Thursday with the whole school turning out to say goodbye to their friends when the final bell rang on Friday. Lots of crying teachers, parents, relatives and not to mention kids.....
