Heat Lightning Tour

Well, I am very lucky. The new book that I have been waiting for is coming out September 23. The author, my favorite, John Sandford, will be making one and only one stop on this tour and that is at my favorite bookstore Once Upon A Crime in Minneapolis on September 23. My BFF teases me, but I have been checking their site daily, and sure enough, up pops a tour stop. I made a quick call to Once Upon A Crime and they already have me on the list for books, signed, and personalized. How we pay will be dealt with later..........Yeah! These people are amazing. If I was closer, I would be broke stopping at their store whenever possible. They take care of their customers and they remember you!! AMAZING this day and age!! Thank You Gary and Pat!!

Happy Anniversary

I did better with the anniversary than the birthday. I actually remembered!! Of course, I had just got my hair cut a couple of days before and when I woke up at 4:45am to see my hubby off, my hair was all knotted up on one side and I looked terrible, I admit it..........Of course I had to tease and say that I looked just as beautiful today as I did on our wedding day. Smart man, he played along and agreed with me. He was off to work and I did my day of stuff-For dinner he wanted pizza and we were in bed by 7-him asleep, me with book. Happy Anniversary #18!!

PS At least it wasn't the hottest day in the history of mankind like it was on our wedding. A nice mid 70's kind of day that we all love and are too few and far between. :)

I'm a Failure

Well, I am a failure....After 23 years, I woke up this morning and had to work again... This is unusual for me as a part time, multijob person, I don't normally work back to back all day jobs. Anyway, I forgot to wish my husband a happy birthday!!! After 23 years!! I feel lower than low.....I left a half dozen messages while he was out eating breakfast with friends and gave him birthday wishes when I got home, but I totally forgot until I was at work for a good 40 minutes!!!!!!!! How terrible a wife am I!! Add to that, my chief concern was blogging about Harry Potter vs the forgotten birthday 1st makes me feel just as bad again..........Maybe my brain cells are just dying out faster now that the mid 40's are here. Will have to write notes for holidays as well as appts, medicine, groceries, phone calls, etc...Goodness, I am getting old--

WHAT IN BLUE BLAZES??!!

HARRY POTTER 6 PUSHED BACK 6 MONTHS!! WHAT THE HEDOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS IS GOING ON???????? ADD TO THAT THEY ARE SPLITTING 7 INTO 2 MOVIES!!! I KNOW HARRY MAKES MONEY, BUT WHAT ARE THEY THINKING, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I AM SOOO DISAPPOINTED IN THEM FOR THIS DECISION I CAN'T EVEN SEE STRAIGHT!! (NOTE ALL CAPITALS) I'M SHOCKED, DISGUSTED, AND PO'D TO SAY THE LEAST----------BLAHHHH

BREAKING DAWN

On a scale of 1-4, a definite 4 and a very good read!! Well worth the time and trouble to get the book even though I had to sit in the parking lot to avoid listening to "the band" that was playing. I enjoyed the story even though parts were predictable. Will be a reread series, but I will probably leave it on the shelf for a bit...........Nice to have something besides Harry Potter that got my interest so much and kept it!! And the cover, totally get it, surprised that people didn't like it, maybe now that they have read the book they will appreciate it more--

Today's the Day

Well, the day is finally here and book #4 is coming out in a few hours (for those of us crazy enough to go at midnight). I am excited for Breaking Dawn and while I probably won't stay up and read the whole thing like I did for HP 7, I am happy for another great story. On that note, I also registered for my copy of The Tales of Beetle the Bard, while it might not be Harry Potter, it will probably get me to give 7 another read, and maybe 6 first so I am ready for the movie...........Great to have some good books in the future!!!!!!!
