I Saw and I Wanted to Believe

Ok, I went to see the X-Files II "I Want to Believe". It was an ok movie. Definitely glad I went to the "cheaper"($5.50) matinee movie. I was glad to see the characters and how they were still together, the chemistry was still there, the story was ok. My problem was the bad guy was from the most recent Battlestar Galactica tv show and that was all I could think of.........He's from Battlestar Galactica, he's from Battlestar Galactica, over and over again. It took away from the story, which was kind of lame toward the end. I had to keep trying to refocus, and it was tough people- I'm glad Scully and Mulder are together and I still want to believe............... (that there will be a better movie).

It's Not My Addiction

Alright, the truth is out, even though Burger King keeps raising the prices of their Icee/frozen cokes, it is not me that needs a daily fix................. It is Wendell!!!!

Just One of Those Moments

I was doing my IPod thing around our nearby pond when I just had to stop for a moment and watch the flock of geese take off from the water...It was just one of moments where everything was right with the world.............I watched them take off, I wasn't that far away from them, and they disappeared into the sun. I took a breath and went on my way....It was just one of those moments and I had to share..........

Technology is Amazing

Taking a cue from my god daughter, I bought an IPod Shuffle in hopes that it will motivate me to walk more. Walked a half mile last nite and 1.2 miles today, so hopefully it's working. It's amazing that this little piece of equipment, approximately the size of a quarter, can hold 5 hours of music.

Quincy Doesn't Fit

Well, the baby boy has gotten so big, when he tries to sleep on the pillow, he doesn't fit and ends up sliding off and to the edge. He is adorable, though, isn't he??

Harry Potter in 124 days!!! Hard to believe!!!!
I am absolutely in love with the Dumbledore and Harry poster showing them walking away together. Absolutely love it......................Somehow I don't think my hubby would like it hanging in our house, but a (dorky)girl can dream.

Sunny and 90 degrees +, then WHAM, things went wild and the storm came in with thunder lightening, etc. Maybe it will cool down. One can only hope.

Ankles

Well, my doctor informed me today that my ankle problems could very well be arthritis developing..........We'll wait til it definitely flares up again (of course it is better now after 5 weeks) and think about an x-ray. I will also get one of those wraps for my ankle and try to give it support around the house, etc when I'm not wearing nice supportive athletic shoes, etc....
I figured the arthritis thing was a possibility.........He did say that after a sprain (years ago and may not have been the same ankle), it is never the same. That and arthritis..............Love the 40's they are full of such good cheer........Bifocals, arthritis, cancer, cholesterol, fun stuff...............

Quizzy Gets Shaved

My in-laws called me over to their house to take a peek at their 3 yr old long haired black cat. He had been to the vet and they shaved him due to some matting problems and then gave him a bath. Apparently he did a very good job, but they couldn't stop laughing. I stopped by today to see the little guy (Ha, he looks huge when he has all of his fur!! Hard to believe, but true!). I thought he was absolutely adorable and he seemed a lot happier without having all that fur on one of our hot and humid days. He was adorable!! Where he was shaved was really soft and I just couldn't get enough of him. Apparently his siblings think some strange cat has moved into the house, but that is supposed to get better. Soon I hope for his sake!! Here are the pics of Quizzy.

I got a little ambitious and finished Eclipse last nite. I ripped through the last 150 pages and probably missed some details because I was so d--- tired, but I finished. Nothing that I expected!! Very interesting!! I am with my BFF. Team Edward. Really there isn't a choice. If she chooses differently, then all the other books were for waste. Team Edward, definitely Team Edward.......How many days 'til August 2??

In The Groove

I've barely started book 3, but have been surfing the net and have to admit, I am excited by this whole vampire thing. Devout reader of Anne Rice and her vampires, I like Stephanie Meyer's just as much and am happily engrossed in the tales of Bella and Edward. I'm definitely glad to have reserved by copy of Breaking Dawn and will wait in anticipation for the movie. Don't know if I am Team Edward or Team Jacob. I haven't got that far yet. I go back and forth so hopefully book 3 will pull me one way or the other....I'd like to see her go vampire, but am not sure..........................

Allergic Conjunctivitis

I don't know about you, but even the name sounds terrible. Maybe it's supposed to match the patient, I don't know but I always feel like c--- when I have the stuff. Work sent me to the doctor, didn't want to be at work anyway, and the doctor sent me home with a prescription for drops. I'm not contagious, just feel like doody. Add to that she wouldn't cancel my appointment for next week. Double yuck! I should be happy they keep a close eye on me, but I am just tired of doctors.....and itchy eyes.........and long waits for Harry Potter movies..................

X-Files are Coming

I know that the total sci-fi freak that I am, no one is surprised that I am patiently awaiting this movie's premiere. I'm not widget knowledgable enough to manage one of those, but I did get to read the article in the new TV Guide and am definitely ready to see it.

Eli's Has Shots, Again

Eli ventured out, again, yesterday for his last shot. He doesn't do well with his vaccinations and so he has to make 3 trips. He did one of them with the whole gang and the last one was a quickie to the clinic that was full of dogs. One of the dog's was 158 lbs. The others, who knows, but he was outnumbered and in my arms so we went home. Yesterday we went again and got in pretty quick. He still is recuperating and is somewhere in the house undercover. He should perk up and be his normal self today sometime. Now he is sleepy boy and no where to be found. Poor guy!!:(

Booking It, But Pacing Myself

I finished the Twilight book. It was fantastic....I will start the 2nd one tonite. I bought #3 and put a reserve in for #4. There is supposed to be a midnight deal going on like they did with Harry Potter. Don't know if I will go that far, but the books are looking like they will be a good read. I just hope I can make the other two last a week or so, I hope...

New Books, I think....

Well, taking a cue from my BFF, I am trying the "new" vampire books and have started the Twilight series. So far, fantastic, I am engrossed in the story and that is always the sign of a good read for me.....I hear there are 3 books with a 4th and final to come....She also has a new book/storyline with The Host.....something else I may need to nab after these vampire books....Yeah!!!! An exciting read!!! I am oh so happy :)

Happy 4th

The year is over half way finished already. Time flies!! No excitement for the 4th. I am going to sell soap at the mall for a few hours and then come home. It is the end of the big sale so it will either be grossly busy or dead. Not sure which I'd prefer....Either way, I usually keep pretty busy and 3 hours is just the right amount of time to sell. Happy Firecracker Day!!
